I thought we found a great AC company after having to deal with three crooks in the past. We had them service our home and rental properties twice and they had been amazing. However, we sent them back to one of the rental units that had a problem, they responded quickly and professionally, but when we decided to use another contractor who offered the same unit replacement for half the price things got bad. They sent us an invoice for the service call that reflected repairs and also charged sales tax, we asked for the invoice to be corrected since they did not do any repairs and sales tax shouldn't apply and they fought with us for over a week because he did not want to correct his invoice. Eventually they provided an invoice that did not claim repairs but still charged sales tax on a service call, but only after harassing us with threats of taking us to court. I still do not understand why getting an accurate invoice was so hard, or why he charged tax.
