Horrible AC service, horrible customer service.

This company literally cost me thousands of dollars and many hours of unbelievable frustration. I called them out to repair my AC which for a few weeks had never shut off and had increased my electric bill to over $500, which was more than $200 more than usual for that time of year. The guy said my fan was set to "on" (it wasn't) and that my filter needs to be changed. AC continued to run and the next month my electic bill was almost $900. Called them out again and another tech said my heat strips were permanently on so my unit was heating and cooling at the same time. Great. He said he disconnected the strip and would get back to us about a part to repair the heat strip. He never got back to us, the fan continued to run and again my bill was almost $900. Finally realizing these people were worse than useless, I called another company (Bounds). The tech came out and quickly determined the heat strips were STILL ON! The mid Florida tech didn't actually bypass the strips, they were still drawing crazy amounts of amps! Oh, and the fan wouldn't turn off because the wires were melted together. My next bill was still about $550, because of the time the strips ran before I called Bounds. And the story gets even better! The Mid FL manager argued with me that they weren't at fault (for a good 45 minutes) and tried to tell me it had been really hot lately and lots of people's bill were high. Really?! Are you freaking kidding me?! He said he wouldn't refund my service call money unless I got proof from Bounds that the heat strips were on and also provided him with the last 3 years, yes THREE YEARS of electric bills. He said he would also be checking the weather record. I was just astonished that HE was giving ME a hard time an making ME waste EVEN MORE OF MY TIME AND MONEY when THEY were so clearly in the wrong. So I had to send them the Bounds invoice and drive to my electric company to get proof that my electricity usage was 2.5 times higher than it had ever been in previous years. About 3 weeks later, I got a refund check for my service calls. But I was still out almost $2,000 in additional electricity bills, and lost hours of my time on useless service calls, wasted phone time and more missed work, wasted gas and driving time driving to get my electric bills. I am writing this review because I want people to know what could happen to them if they choose to do business with this company.
