Terrible staff and policies
I am extremely unhappy with the service and policies of SOS fuel. In Nov 2015 I called for a delivery of heating fuel. I was told I could get a better rate per gallon if I filled out a credit application and became an auto delivery customer. I was in need of oil asap and a credit app takes 1-2 weeks to be approved. I was given a fill up right away at the discounted auto rate per gallon and told I would be called if my credit was not approved (and I would have to pay the difference). Well, this weekend during the snow storm, I noticed I was on empty. I called for an emergency fill up and was told I was not on auto pay. I could not get anyone on the phone who could help me and mid-storm I had to drive out for diesel fuel. This morning I recalled SOS. The women could see that I did fill out the credit app and that I had paid the lower auto pay price in Nov. She told me she would sort it out and give me a call back in 30 minutes. 15 minutes later a gentleman called to tell me I had been denied the credit! I was shocked! In the last month I have been approved for a mortgage re-fi and a new car loan. I have good credit (750-780) and nothing on my report shows a past due or late payment.
I am quite convinced that SOS fuels messed up my paperwork in Nov and instead of owning their mistake and fixing the problem, they have lied about my credit application being denied.
I plan to voice my displeasure with this company to my friends and family. They have been dishonest, unorganized and rude.
