I ordered the ULTRA-POWER 49429 air filter for my 2008 Chevrolet Colorado, because the item was only $5.11 each, as opposed to purchasing an air filter at my local auto parts store for $19.99.
Unfortunately, these Ultra-Power air filter do not fit.
They are inferior quality, and the gasket around the outer edge is not attached to the filter, as it is in name brands and other store brands.
The gasket material would not properly fit in the air filter housing.
With the filter properly seated in the housing, the top of the housing would not close properly.
The housing looked closed, but the clamps that hold the top on would not close to secure the top.
I have never had this problem with any other brand of filter.
Avoid these Ultra-Power filters.
They do not fit properly into the air filter housing.
