I build and remodel houses, along with commercial finish outs. Unfortunately I was out of town when my sister and her partner needed a plumber. Biggest mistake any person could do is call baker brothers plumbing. Taking advantage of a female household is a bigger disgrace.
1) Price to run a pressure test connected to hot side of washer hookup only is not a $196.35 charge. Not even my commercial plumbers charge rates like that for a simple pressure test.
2) Cutting out a 8"x10" piece of sheeteock and replacing two lines, both 12" long pieces of copper pipe that was undersized, 1/2 to 1" is not a $287.92 charge.
3) Replace "Easy close laundry valve" hot and cold side. 1/4 turn - half turn shutoff valves no matter where or type of property is not a $308.36 charge.
4) Install a plastic panel to cover the hole of the sheetrock that was cut out is not a $217.04 charge. A grand total of $1,009.67 for the work performed above. 3 1/2 hours total including going to lowes/home depot for the plastic cover and the "free flex" lines he put on the washer to replace the old black lines that were still in proper working condition. Baker brothers plumbing you are truly a disgrace to plumbers and contractors every where. More so taking advantage of a only female household. No words can describe what a company like that is worth. I hope this message reaches you and all the people looking to hire you in the future. Biggest rip off and scam artist out there.
