Good Product, Not great everything else
I am very sad to have had the experience I have. I was hoping to utilize this company in the future for my clients. However, after trying them on my own personal kitchen, I have mixed reviews. The product is nice and the ordering process is fine. The lack of urgency to give you information when you have issues or go past expected timelines, is not anything I would ever put any one of my clients through.
I realize this company is a division of a larger company and I very much do not want to fault the manufacturer, which is likely a small business struggling with supply chain. But I have gone through quite a bit and its important that everyone reading these know the good and the bad.
First, I was given a date of 6-8 Weeks. It was 8 weeks before I was give a date. I was given a date, which came a went and it took me reaching out on multiple occasions to get another date. Then I was told on the date I was given again that they cant get the fridge panel which was likely known the previous date I was given. This delayed my shipment again. They did agree to ship the remaining cabinets and then ship the fridge panel separately. I know this cost them money which I appreciated. What I didnt appreciate was making me feel like they were doing me a favor.
Secondly, my cabinets were delivered to my house with an entire 8 foot pallet missing. It took a week to redeliver that pallet and 5 of the 9 cabinets on that pallet were severely damaged. I have never seen damage like this in my entire career of designing cabinets. There were 3 major cabinets that needed to be remade. Several doors and I need to accept damage on other cabinets. While it cant be seen, the fact that I paid money for something and needed to accept its less then quality, was frustrating. Additionally I was offered $75.00 to repair the cabinets but left with 3 large cabinets and multiple accessories, panels and drawers to dispose of .It took a lot of arguing and aggression on my part to get a refund so that I could remove these cabinets from my garage.
Third, I was told 2-3 Weeks for replacement. I am entering the 3rd week (after waiting an extra week for the trucking company to find my cabinets) and my cabinets are not shipping until sometime in the 4th week. Which means i wont get them until likely the 5th week. IF they come undamaged.
My issue is simple. Things will happen. I have been in this industry long enough to know this. The lack of urgency to replace it, communicate with me and assist me is where I think there are major issues. I am left with 1/2 a kitchen. No real answers and 1/2 hearted apologies.
If this is from the larger company that owns Best Unfinished cabinets, then I am sorry for that company. They are not doing them justice. I am extremely sad and disappointed. I hesitate to even write this review as I don't want any retaliation or even to hurt someone elsea' job. But I am at the point where I am not sure it even matters. Its been since April that I have ordered, may since I have had a working kitchen and it will be end of July before I even have cabinets. Likely August until I can put in my sink and stove. Unacceptable customer service. At some point supply chains aren't the issue. Basic respect for your end user would be nice.
