I contacted Overhead Door as recommended by our electrician. Sales consultant Clint was notified of need for a garage door opener for an 18 year old standard double width garage door. Old opener was malfunctioning. Quotes an installed price with tax etc $499. When service technician arrived, promptly later that day, he told me he was there to install the garage door opener with a life time warranty, however he noticed that my two springs were rusted and he could not give me a lifetime warranty unless the springs were also replaced. I questions the cost of that and was told it would be ball park between $1000-$1400 depending on the type/size spring used. I questioned the estimate since that was a huge amount over the price given over the phone by salesman Clint. I called the 513 427 0124 and asked for salesman CLint and was told he could not come to the phone and the one that answered said I would have to talk to Ian's direct supervisor because the sales department did not have prices for springs. I found that odd since I would have called this same number had I needed to arrange for springs to be replaced. I spoke to the technician, Ian, who said it needed to be done and we would get a firm price once he determined what type of springs were needed. I cannot tell you that he did not work hard, or complete the job in a timely manner. He was hardworking and pleasant and very informative. I have a huge problem however with the sales department, as evidently on an older replacement the springs often have to be replaced and this was never addressed on my initial call. Had I known the real price of the job I would not have had the repair done. The job was completed in a satisfactory way and the door is opening and closing. Prior to final bill I renegotiated the price of the installation of the springs with the service technicians supervisor as I felt that the final bill was out of line with the actual repair and install and the "surprise need for installation of springs" . Upon payment of the bill I was told to pay Garage Door Systems. As it turns out that Overhead Door sold their business to them. This was also not disclosed to me at any point until the end. Had I known that initially I would not have had this company come to my house.

Ian was however an excellent technician. I am hopeful that an authentic product was installed and that they stand behind their warranty if a repair is needed in the future.

I have rated the quality a 1 (poor) due to the lack of integrity of the sales department of Overhead Door AKA Garage Door Systems AKA Neighborhood Garage Door Service of Cincinnati.
