The installer certainly knew how to install the Nest thermostat. I wish he had been able to explain the options of the Nest thermostat better or that I had known what questions to ask as I have a four degree difference between the location and living area. Anyway I got online and read the manual . I have reset it and hopefully have adjusted the temp and it will program itself. I had mentioned the temp difference but he didn't really offer any suggestions. He was very friendly and polite and knew the install part very well. I think with time and more experience he will perhaps ask a few more questions about how the customer needs to use it. I am fairly tech savvy and probably should have read the manual myself before he arrived. My mistake. Will be happy to use the company again.
