Excessive pricing after Beryl
Tech was very nice. HomeServe dispatched as a possible insurance claim. A tree fell and broke the gas line. Needed to test for a leak and they wanted $550 to pressurize the line. I thought this was extreme, but thought even more so when the entire process lasted 5-10 minutes including turning all gas appliances off. Once leak was verified, they then offered to fix leak for $1,600 more. This was for less than 1 foot of pipe and a 90. This is when I asked them to leave. Called another plumber and had the entire job completed in 30 minutes for under $500, not $2,150.
