Applied for insurance thru Get Covered NJ. Immediately, the calls start coming in. I went with First Health and got a "policy" for $279/month. Then I get a packet from Horizon showing I'm covered by Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I called GCNJ because First Health had my gross income wrong. GCNJ gets me a policy for less than $18/month and has no idea who First Health is. I call First Health, and the call gets dropped. She calls me back and the call gets dropped again after 3 seconds. I call them back and she immediately & repeatedly accuses me of hanging up on her. So professional. When I explain that I was under the impression they were associated with GCNJ, she says they are. Then why are you charging me $279/month and I just got a policy with a GCNJ agent for less than $18? "I can get you to a GCNJ agent who can get you a policy for $0." THEN WHY ARE YOU CHARGING ME $279/MONTH?!?! I told her to cancel my policy with them immediately. "Is there anything else I can help you with?" "No, thank you." *click* She just hung up on me. LOL Not to mention, the card I got from them says $0 co-pay for preventative. Then why am I being told I have to pay $200 for a covid booster & $55 for a flu shot? Seriously, stay FAR away from this company.
