Several weeks ago, at the beginning of my rehab, I went in to have a look around. A great assortment of items both needed and wanted. While browsing I spotted some decorative items that I thought might work for me when I was finished with the "Big" stuff. Now weeks &many visits later, I'm done with the nitty & gritty and ready to start on the pretty. The DONATED items I want are still available, in fact none have been sold, I would have liked to purchase more half their stock, but the price was a bit prohibitive, so I asked if they would be willing to work with me on the price. The answer as you can guess was NO. Not even if I Purchased the entire stock. I'm having a hard time with this, as all moneys are put back into Habitat for Humanity to cover cost for rebuilding /rehabilitating home for low & no income families. So now you are stuck with inventory that is NOT selling instead of reducing stock and putting money in the coffers. Please tell me how this is a win on either end??
