Company completed repairs without prior authorization
I've been taking my vehicles to All Transmission since for approximately 6 years. This most recent trip I returned my car for troubleshooting after they had overhauled the transmission, it wasn't shifting properly. I left instruction to be contacted if any troubleshooting or repair would incur cost. They did notify me of the ongoing troubleshooting but made no mention of cost. After paying for the overhaul I was of the impression that repairs to achieve a properly operating transmission would be inclusive, or at least be notified of cost prior to repairs.
If you use them I strongly recommend communications are very clear.
I feel they made every effort to get the repair work but very little to settle the disputed charges with a longstanding customer.
Past experiences-
2/12-I requested they diagnose an emissions problem. I completed their recommended repairs and it did not correct the problem. I ended up taking the car to Toyota for the correct diagnosis.
3/11-they changed the oil in the transfer case; ~18 months later I found the fill plug seal ring missing; which may explain the leak.
