I purchased a new Carrier unit in 2003 from a company that when belly up , and the 10 year warranty I thought I had was worthless,because the owner of that company, Ambient air did not fill out the warranty papers. Our unit was malfunctioning in 2007, so I talked to a representative from Carrier air and they recommended Comfort Air. Eric Randall came out to our home to service our unit, found out what the problem was and quickly repaired it.
