I was having a carpet replaced in a sun room with linoleum because my puppies were potty trained there so it was a real mess. They pulled up the old carpet, treated the floor for the odor and put some kind of filler over the plywood base before putting the linoleum down so there would be no lumps. I couldn't be home while they worked so they entered through the back. They were really conscientious about it.
