I had to make 4 visits in less than 12 weeks (the last 3 visits were 1-2 weeks apart) for continuous botox corrections, and the final desired result was never achieved. I have been getting botox in my glabella area by my plastic surgeon for several years, and 20 units always completed paralyzes the area so that I have zero frown lines for four months. When I could not get an appointment right away with my plastic surgeon, I decided to try Sona Med Spa since they prices are a bit lower. After 4 visits to Sona and receiving 50 units in my glabella in less than 12 weeks (20 units initially, then 10 more units 8 weeks later, then 12 more units 2 weeks later, then 8 more units 2 weeks later), I can still frown with a slight line/crease in between my eyebrows. I feel that either the solution was not being diluted or stored properly, and/or the technicians were either not fully trained to inject properly or were not injecting as many units as I was told (and paid for). Otherwise there is no reason after that many visits and units in such a short amount of time that I would not have full paralysis in this area. My husband and I are in the process of trying to get pregnant and I informed the staff at Sona of my time limitations to receive this treatment and the importance of getting the full desired effect since I would not be able to get botox again for over a year once I am pregnant. The nurses who performed the injections were very friendly and this review is not personal towards them directly. Unfortunately I was just unsatisfied with the results on the actual product and outcome of the injections. I feel that I wasted a lot of time, money, and gas (Sona is a 50 minute drive from my home) on this process since I was never fully satisfied with the results. This is very disappointing. I understand that things can happen sometimes, and had I received the desired results even after the repeat visits, I would gladly recommend Sona to others. However this was unfortunatley not the case in my experience, therefore at the present time I do not feel that I can provide a positive review or recommend this facility to others. This could possibly change if additional attempts are made by Sona Med Spa to correct the situation to ensure full client satisfaction.
